We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Product Manager to lead and develop product management in a market-leading international company.
You will be responsible for leading and developing product management and strategy in an ambitious international company with a leading global position as a supplier of some of the strongest products to the veterinary industry.
You will be the leader of a strong product management team consisting of 4 dedicated colleagues and work closely with the Head of PM, Marketing and e-commerce, to whom the position reports. Together, you will build and execute product strategies in close collaboration with key stakeholders across the organisation and transform the strategy into commercially successful product portfolios.
THE POSITION
You can fulfill the role of an inspiring "playing-coach" who develops and implements new methods and tools, guides and motivates the team, and actively participates in solving the many tasks in the department. Additionally, you will interact extensively with colleagues in marketing & innovation, commercial departments, QA and supply chain, as well as with the top management.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and driving the strategic work with product portfolio roadmaps, including ongoing development of the product strategy, and ensuring that it is communicated and firmly embedded within the organization.
- Ensuring a strong and consistent commercial focus in the PM work, such as identifying new market and product opportunities and continuously prioritizing the existing product portfolio based on analyses, market input, and commercial interests.
- Developing performance in the PM department, including training and mentoring employees, implementing new tools and work methods, and increasing proactivity in the development of the product portfolio.
- Monitoring and analyzing market trends, competition, and customer needs to identify new and/or untapped opportunities and incorporating them into the product portfolio management.
- Ensuring efficient and timely launch of new products in close collaboration with marketing, procurement, and commercial departments.
- Increased focus on the product lifecycle, including analysis of product performance (profitability and growth), sales data, and customer feedback, as well as focus on pricing, positioning, and competitiveness.
- Stakeholder management through close collaboration and communication with management, sales and marketing teams, customers, and suppliers - both to gather relevant input and ensure sufficient communication.
Thus, this is a broadly-based leadership role with a particular focus on the commercial approach and the methodical work with the product portfolio, as well as on leading and developing people, skills and performance.
THE CANDIDATE
You have successful experience from a similar position in an international company with an extensive and dynamic product portfolio. You are a committed and results-oriented leader who takes responsibility and action in relation to your areas of responsibility, and you are a motivating and inspiring coach for your employees.
To be successful in this position, it is crucial that you have a strong professional foundation in product management. You are used to being responsible for areas such as product strategy & roadmaps, category & product portfolio management, product launches, product lifecycle, market analysis, etc.
You are a commercially oriented and result driven person, used to work and prioritise based on commercial analyses and input. As a natural part of this, you are data- and fact-oriented and adept at handling large amounts of information and communicating and presenting for different target groups both internally and externally.
You thrive in an ambitious international environment with a dynamic, and sometimes hectic workday, a modern, flat organisational structure, informal atmosphere, and a strong focus on both personal and professional development.
You have a relevant education at master's level and possess advanced proficiency in both written and spoken Danish and English. Additionally, you have a strong aptitude in IT, including high proficiency in Excel and BI.
